  1. WOW. I thought some of these people were WAY older than us!! (They certainly *look* older than we do.) That is a trippy list.

I'm not obsessing about this birthday, but then again, it's not two months away for me, either. Maybe on June 10 I'll feel differently. But even if I only have a couple of good decades left, I have a very Woody Allen/Hannah and Her Sisters attitude about it all. (And that will be the only parallel I EVER draw between myself and Mr. Pervy, I assure you!)

I did make a list of 40 accomplishments the year I turned 40, and it was an interesting exercise. The trick is to think small. (Like, I gave up watching "Ally McBeal" after I stopped liking it, which was HUGE for me - before then, I watched every "favorite" show to its bitter end, no matter how awful and unsatisfying it had become. Seriously, this was a game changer. Yay! Accomplishment.) But if it doesn't sound like a fun challenge, then, obviously, don't do it!

    Love you!

  2. I always have to type some nonsense word before my comments are published, and I thought you would particularly enjoy today's word:

    octeryog

I can see us having some fun with this.

Also, I'm reading Mindy Kaling's book, which is so far adorable, but the thing that's standing out for me is that she and her BF do "bits" together, and from this sprang "Matt and Ben: The Play" (not its actual title), and I immediately thought of us! We don't exactly do bits, but we've been known to riff on the same joke for decades. CLEARLY there is a prize-winning play lurking within us. We should get moving on this PDQ!

  3. So, Axl Rose is just a "singer?" Shouldn't Dina Lohan just be "mother?"
